Governor Edwards has announced that Louisiana is moving into PHASE 3 tomorrow, September 11. Therefore, the Washington Parish School System will move to phase 3 of the school reopening plan.

Beginning Monday, September 14, students in grades pk-6 will attend school 4 days each week (Mon-Thurs). Students in grades 7-12 will continue on the hybrid schedule. Distance learners may continue with distance learning.

The district will closely monitor numbers of students on buses next week. If bus capacity allows, additional grade levels will be added to the  4-day week.

Please follow school & district websites, Facebook & Instagram pages for updates.

    **REVISED PLAN for PHASE 3**

WP has made a slight revision to the district plan for phase 3!
When the Governor moves LA into phase 3, WP students in grades PK-6 will attend school 4 days each week (Mon-Thurs) instead of 5. Teachers will use Fridays for planning & distance learning.

The district will monitor numbers in classrooms and on buses. When numbers allow, additional grade levels may be added to the 4-day week.

Please follow the WP website, FB & IG for updates.
